Motivational Toast

The probiotics in yogurt will get your gut in shape and can improve your mood. Almonds are packed with protein and offer time-released energy to wake you up, while the fiber in bananas will fill you up, and keep you sustained and satisfied through lunch.

Ingredients

  • 2 Slices of Sourdough Bread, cut ¼”- ½” thick.

  • ½ cup Greek Yogurt

  • 1 Ripe Banana

  • 2 oz Salted Marcona Almonds or Salt-Roasted Almonds

  • 1 Lime

Steps

1 Preheat an oven to 400F to toast the bread, or if using a toaster, insert the Sourdough and set it to your color preference (Light/Dark).

2 Cut the bread into 1/2 inch thick slices and toast for about 3 minutes in a 400F oven, then transfer to a work surface.

3 Using a butter knife, spread the Yogurt equally on each piece of toast.

4 Using the bottom of a small pot, or the back of a wide knife, crush the Marcona Almonds into course pieces atop a cutting board. Scatter the almonds into the nooks and crannies of the Yogurt-topped toasts.

5 Peel the Banana and slice it thinly, into about 20 slices. Distribute ten of each atop the yogurt & Almond spackled toasts.

6 Drizzle the agave syrup across the toasts: be sure it lands on the Almonds, the sweet and salty combination is delicious!

7 If a citrus zester is on hand, zest half of the lime onto each toast. Otherwise, cut a wedge of Lime and dress each toast with a few drops of juice.
